SPACES - Emma Peel and Danny Walsh

THIS is exactly the house I always dreamed of photographing (and living in, but I’ll tick that goal later) when I started out. Emma Peel is a copywriter, radio announcer and DJ (She hosts one of my favourite PBS shows - Switched On!), Danny Walsh is an engineer and very talented musician and they live with their beautiful daughter, Joni, and their other beautiful daughter Marsha, who was still inside Emma at this point! It was such a pleasure to be invited into their amazingly unique home.

Interview and words by Mia Timpano. You can check it out in the latest frankie magazine (issue 89), and in the latest SPACES magazine (issue 5)

Tai Snaith - Artist

Photos from my visit to Tai Snaith's drool-worthy home for Extraordinary Routines. Check out her insightful interview with Madeleine over on the Extraordinary Routines website, where she talks slowing down and balancing motherhood with her art practice.

"I never used to have enough time but now I feel like that’s all just a concept – you decide how much time you have, you choose that. You can work instead of watching Broad City, or first thing in the morning. I’m just starting to feel a bit more in control of that." Tai Snaith for Extraordinary Routines.

Kitiya Palaskas - Crafty designer

Photos of Kitiya Palaskas's daily routine - from her morning routine at home, to a day spent in her colourful studio, shot for Extraordinary Routines

Kit lives in the most incredible house and was also one of my willing subjects for my Sharehomes project. Check it out if you haven't seen her house yet!

"It’s important to do small things to treat yourself every day so life doesn’t feel like a chore." - Kitiya Palaskas

Yinuo Mu - MSO Harpist

Yinuo Mu, the principal harpist of Melbourne Symphony Orchestra - for Extraordinary Routines

"The stress comes from just little things in life. Sometimes you have goals in your head and you don't reach them and you get a little stressed or disappointed. I often think about what I should be doing, what I could do better, things like that. I am pretty hard on myself. But I love what I do." - Yinuo Mu
